About me

Hi, I’m Gary, a former math professor and experienced tutor who specializes in helping students understand difficult concepts through clear, step-by-step explanations. I’ve taught and tutored across remedial math, pre-calculus, business calculus, the full calculus sequence, and statistics.

During graduate school, I earned a university-wide teaching award for my work with undergraduate math students — recognition based on clarity, patience, and helping learners gain confidence. Former students often highlight these strengths in my RateMyProfessors reviews as well.

My approach is friendly, supportive, and focused on genuine understanding, not memorization. I know math anxiety is real, and I work to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and build real skills.

Whether you need homework help, exam prep, or a fresh start before next semester, I’m here to help you make progress and feel confident in your math and statistics courses.
